July 2, 201411 yr We don't! Just the other way around (give anti-D proph to Rh- mothers if their offsprings are Rh+)
July 2, 201411 yr No we don't. But this is an interesting question. It is possible theoretically, materno fetal hemorrhage if at all happens, maternal RBC's in fetal circulation can sensitize the Rh negative infant. We need to look at the literature!
July 2, 201411 yr We dont. Very interesting observation. But can a newborn be sensitized by the Rh antigen of the mother. I dont think so.
