Stefan Johansson Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 A film producer contacted us on the 99nicu Twitter account - sharing a documentary film which is not only about difficulties families sometimes go through, but also a tribute to NICU nurses. As there are so many NICU nurses being members here: this is something I want to forward to you! GRAYSON is a story of loss, love and perseverance. It’s the story of a child taken from this world far too soon, of parents who loved him beyond measure for every second of his life and every second since, and a nurse who stayed by their side throughout it all. It is a story about extraordinary human beings, from the tiniest and most fragile of us all to those with the biggest hearts and greatest capacity for love and kindness. My hope is that this documentary might help to ease some of the pain felt by others who are going through what Jerome and Laurel have experienced, and to shine a light on an exceptional group of people who risk their hearts being broken every day so that families like the Kapferers may persevere and find their happy ending. They are NICU nurses — and they are an inspiration.
