A neonate with oral mass ?

Hello my colleagues .


My case for today is a term male baby born to multiparous  mother .

healthy , well .

on examination he has this mass which is somehow semisolid , movable , pedunculated   .

it doesn't interfere with feeding or breathing .

His investigation was normal .


So i referred him to a pediatric surgery and iam waiting for updated .

i took two pic ( permition of course had been taken )  .


So , What is next ?

Great article shared by Stefan above, I will narrow my differential to Congenital Epulis. I published a similar case report few years back. see the link below


Needs imaging MRI to look for deep connection, as it could be encephalocele with CNS connection. Final treatment is surgical resection. Prognosis depends on underlying cause, if Epulis,
