I was wondering if any one has the NICE preterm bilirubin charts in mg/dl rather than mmol/l - or if the regions that report in mg/dl have found a way around this?

TIA

The APP:  phototherapy. (Not the APPphototherapy calculator)

You can choose: Units

Hi! The conversion between mMol/L em mg/dl is : 1mmol/L = 18.08mg/dL

This is all I found for you

Otherwise, I do convert mg per dl to micromoles & use the 10% of weight  formula

Thanks Bernhard for sharing this app. Why do they mention not to use this tool within first 48 hours?

And do you have any idea on which curves these web calculations are based?

Hi!

I suppose it is, because a rising bilirubin in the first 48h hours is most probably due to rhesus immunization and could rise so fast, that you won‘t treat it soon enough - so with a rising bilirubin in the first 48h you should start treatment earlier. Perhaps it has something to do with an immature blood brain barrier, too.

it is based on the work ob buthani … as you mentioned before
