Around 2010 we discussed whether to organise a in the Lounge on best practise in neonatology. We nourished a similar idea at the Karolinska University Hospital at that time and in a joint effort we organised the 1st EBNEO conference back in 2011. The 2nd EBNEO conference, chaired by prof Hesham Abdel-Hady based in Mansoura/Egypt, was held in 2013 in Istanbul, and will take place in Philadelphia/US, hosted by prof Haresh Kirpalani.

To give the idea of evidence-based neonatology a context, we have formed the International Society for Evidence-Based Neonatology (EBNEO) as a non-profit organisation that will nourishes a vision that all neonatal care should be firmly built on best available evidence. Technically, the EBNEO Society is registered at the Swedish Tax Agency, but the scope is international of course!

In addition to the bi-annual conference, we publish “EBNEO Journal Club” consisting of EBM-based reviews of recent research on the web site https://ebneo.org

We now welcome individuals and institutions around the world to sign up for a membership. An institutional membership grants employees to become individual members free of charge.
