We are excited to announce the

6th International Neonatal POCUS and Hemodynamics Course, taking place June 1–3, 2026, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

This three-day course brings together leading clinicians and educators in neonatal intensive care to provide hands-on training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and neonatal hemodynamics. It is designed for neonatologists, pediatricians, and nurse practitioners who want to apply advanced ultrasound techniques directly in the NICU.

Course Highlights

  • Neonatal Hemodynamics and Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography (TnECHO/NPE)

  • Vascular Access Ultrasound – practical approaches for line placement and procedural safety

  • Lung Ultrasound in the Newborn – diagnostics and monitoring in respiratory distress and evolving BPD

Course Format

Participants will benefit from interactive lectures, image review sessions, and small-group hands-on scanning on simulators, healthy babies, and patients in the unit when suitable. International and local faculty will share both foundational knowledge and advanced clinical applications to ensure participants gain the skills and confidence to use neonatal POCUS effectively in their own units.

Venue

  • Days 1–2: Campus Nya Varvet, Gothenburg

  • Day 3: Östra Sjukhuset (East Hospital)

Course Organizer

POCUS Team, Neonatal Unit, Queen Sylvia's Children's hospital, Sahlgrenska University
