Hello,I am a pediatrician from Greece, just finishing my specialty!I was amazed from the neonatology part of my rotation and I want to continue in the neonatology subspecialty..in Greece though, we do not learn intubation or putting central lines or calculating parenteral fluids as pediatric residents doing the rotation, but later when we are in the subspecialty. So, my question is: if I would apply for the subspecialty of neonatology abroad, will it matter that I do not know many technical parts yet?is it better to complete my subspecialty in Greece (acquiring the skills needed) and then look for a NICU abroad?Any answer would be helpfull and welcomed!thank you..

If anyone has anything to contribute kindlt post below and it will be crossposted to reddit

Thank you

I would personally recommend you to continue your education in Greece and think about other countries in the future. Not in every NICU in Greece is like that, in some NICUs residents do some procedures under the supervision of the consultant. I hope everything will be ok. Good luck
