Clinical study results - Quality of ventilation of newborns increased significantly with the use of Neo100

Featured Replies

Interesting results with Monivent Neo100 were presented at PAS 2023 in Washington D.C.

New clinical study with Monivent Neo100 showed that using a respiratory function monitor (RFM) in the delivery room leads to significantly higher ventilation quality of newborns. Excessive tidal volumes (>8 mL/kg), previously associated with an increased risk of brain injury, could be significantly reduced.

At Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) annual meeting in Washington D.C., Dr Michael Wagner from Medical University of Vienna presented results from the clinical study where Neo100 had been used on 90 preterm and term newborns in the delivery room and neonatal intensive care unit. Excessive tidal volumes have previously been associated with an increased risk of brain injury and the study showed that high volumes could be reduced when using Neo100.

The study showed that:
❇️ the quality of ventilation of newborns in need of respiratory support increased significantly with the use of Neo100
❇️ high tidal volumes could be reduced when using Neo100
❇️ mask leakage significantly decreased

Learn how Neo100 can assist you to stay within volume target, reduce excessive tidal volumes and decrease mask leakage.
