CPAP head, difficulty?

Featured Replies

We are searching for a better way to put the CPAP head on, by a fresh premuture. This is always a struggle. Can you help me with our questions?

1. Wich brand do you use for your CPAP items (tubes, head, etc.)

2. Do you use any helping gear to put the CPAP head on, so it gets easier.

3. What is your experience with putting a CPAP head on a fresh neonaat with a greasy, bloody head?

I hope you can help me with these questions.

Thanks from Holland!

Greetings Josh

Hi Josh, a lot depends on what kind of CPAP system you are using. We use Fisher and Paykel Bubble CPAP which has hats and other apparatus in varying sizes. The head always gets dried with the baby so we don't find that it is too messy.
