I'm experiencing an issue with a filter on the monitoring line used to check the real-time concentration of nitric oxide.

After few hours of use, the filter becomes blocked because of moisture and iNO monitoring system starts alarming.

The supplier can't find a real alternative.

Is anyone having the same issue?

Are you using in line nebulization in your ventilator circuit?

Yes, we're using it.

Apparently, there's too much moisture condensing into monitoring line of our monitoring device.

Do you generally have a problem with too much moisture in your ventilator circuits?

I would rather blame salt deposition. Usually while using in-circuit nebulization, nebulized drugs often sediment as salts and cause obstruction at narrow point (like monitoring lines) & corrosion of sensitive parts (like flow sensors).

Usually we don't have troubles related to moisture, but it's clear that NO monitoring line is not heated...
