  1. Thanks for the discussion! I recently had a baby transferred to our care who had developed severe arterial and venous thrombosis after 16 days of UAC and UVC in situ. Those units that heparinise the UVCs do you start at day of insertion or add heparin once you have cross a certain timeline threshold eg after 3/5 days? Also do you continue to heparinise if there is thrombocytopenia? Lastly what protocol do you use to heparinise? any guidelines on this would be welcome! TIA
  2. hello, anyone with experience of making customised TPN in the Southeast Asia region (India)? What bags do you use to compound in and what trace element brands are available? please help with resources and experience. Thank You!🙏
  3. @Nicholas Embleton may I ask how we can supplement proteins?
  4. Yes, I meant to ask what guidelines are followed when prescribing the PN for compounding, and also the resources related to compounding itself. What bags are the amino acids, electrolytes being compounded in? The most recent I have found are the ASPEN guidelines on safe compounding, nothing on preterm PN prescribing.
  5. Hi all, I am working on setting up a new NICU in a resource limited setting - we are looking for references for making customised TPN bags for our preterm - as no standardised bags are available here. Any good resources on this - other than the ESPGHAN enteral feeding guide?
  6. I was wondering if any one has the NICE preterm bilirubin charts in mg/dl rather than mmol/l - or if the regions that report in mg/dl have found a way around this? TIA
