1. Introduction

99nicu.org is an online community for healthcare professionals in neonatal medicine. Registration is free but required for full access to the forums.

By registering, you agree to comply with these Terms and Guidelines.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to post or share any content that is:

  • False, misleading, or defamatory

  • Abusive, offensive, or unlawful

  • Harassing, threatening, or discriminatory

  • Obscene or otherwise inappropriate

  • In violation of privacy or confidentiality

  • In breach of copyright or intellectual property rights

3. Registration and Identity

Users must provide their full name, professional role (or degree), and affiliation.

Registrations that do not clearly identify the individual may be rejected or removed without prior notice.

After registration:

  • A confirmation email will be sent

  • Membership is subject to manual approval by the 99nicu team

4. Email Requirements

A valid and functional email address is required at all times. Users are responsible for keeping their email address up to date.

Email may be used for:

  • Account-related communication

  • Service updates and administrative notices

  • Accounts with invalid or inactive email addresses may be removed.

5. Corporate Representatives

Representatives of companies related to neonatal care may register, subject to the following:

  • Marketing or promotional content is not permitted in forums, blogs, or groups

  • Such members may not:

  • Start discussion threads

  • Create blogs or groups for promotional purposes

  • What constitutes marketing is determined at the discretion of the 99nicu team

  • Violating content will be removed 

Exceptions:

  • Approved Supporting Partners may operate under specific agreements

Direct marketing to members via private messages or email is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination. 

6. Content License

Unless otherwise stated, content on 99nicu.org is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

7. Responsibility for Content

  • Users are solely responsible for the content they post

  • 99nicu.org does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of user-generated content

  • Opinions expressed belong to the individual contributors
