You agree that you will not use 99nicu.org to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this bulletin board.
At registration the person states full name, profession or degree, and affiliation. Registrations not disclosing the person’s identity might deleted by a moderator without prior notice.
After the registration form is submitted, each applicant recieve an email with a confirmation link.
After applicant confirmation, each membership is manually validated by 99nicu.
Functional email address
A valid email address is required for a 99nicu membership, and it is the member's own responsibility to keep the email address up-to-date, in the User Control Panel.
The e-mail address given in the registration procedure is strictly used for:
- sending your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one).
- internal administration purposes, i.e. sending information related to updates and maintanence of 99nicu.
Members with invalid or non-functional email addresses have memberships deleted during the regularly scheduled database maintenance.
Representatives for companies with medications and technology used in neonatal care can register as members, respecting the rule below.
As 99nicu.org is dedicated to independent exchange of knowledge and ideas among staff working in NICUs. Company representatives are not allowed to post or initiate contents related to marketing in forums, in blogs or in social groups. This includes that such members are not allowed to write blogs, create social groups, and start own threads.
Contents related to marketing will be erased.
Corporate representatives contacting or sending contents to individual members related to marketing through the PM system or by email will have their memberships deleted.
All guidelines and rules below also apply to corporate representative members.

Contents at 99nicu are regulated by a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0-Unported license (CC BY-NC 3.0). This means that anyone is free to copy, adapt, distribute and transmit the work, as long as 99nicu is attributed accordingly.
99nicu is not responsible for any messages posted. 99nicu does not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.
A member can edit and erase comments and also erase discussions he/she started. This individual right can be overridden be moderators who can edit or erase information, for example if a member violates the guidelines or rules, or if a member iterates the same content in multiple forums.
Each member has full responsibility over the contents posted and 99nicu.org takes no legal responsibility for contents posted by other members. Members must respect patient integrity and confidentiality. Members are responsible that research issues posted, are in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration. Members are obliged to respect and follow his/hers national laws and regulations regarding patient confidentiality and integrity. Parental consent is recommended for discussions related to specific clinical cases. Contents related to patient care must not contain any information about patient identity, such as name, date of birth, address, or other contact information to the patient/parents.
Contents that do not respect these guidelines and rules will, if discovered, be deleted or edited by the moderators. Members not following guidelines and rules could also be banned from 99nicu.
Members acknowledge that all posted contents express views and opinions of the posting members. The owners, administrators, moderators or webmasters will not be held liable.
Sharing videos and photos
Videos and photos can be shared/published for informational purposes only. Their aim is to supplement text contents, not to replace proper training and supervision by qualified instructors. Invasive medical procedures can result in harm to patients and practitioners and should be performed only by qualified neonatal professionals. Videos and photos are intended for health professionals in neonatal medicine only.
All issues related to authenticity, integrity, consent and copyright are the sole responsibility of the original contributor. Before publishing he/she has verified that all such issues have been properly addressed.
Since medical science is a continuously changing field, any information presented in videos and photos must be crosschecked with other independent sources before information have influence on clinical neonatal care in local settings. All viewers are advised to check the most current information provided by the manufacturer for every device being used and to verify the indications, contraindications, and proper procedural technique. All viewers must also confirm the dose, method of administration and contraindications for any administered drug before use.
Neither 99nicu nor the original contributor can be held responsible for changes in neonatal care in local settings. The 99nicu.org team does not assume any liability for any injury or damage to any person or property arising from the use of a video or photo.
IP addresses and database integrity
The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. Members agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit.
