Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss key concepts of neuroprotection and stress in the NICU, and understand the neonatal therapist’s role in promoting developmental care.

  2. Prepare and provide therapeutic interventions and strategies for optimizing the environment, positioning, feeding, sleep, and family support.

  3. Develop individualized developmental care plans for very low birth weight, late preterm, and infants with hypoxic‑ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

  4. Demonstrate evidence‑based strategies to create positive change in the NICU and enhance neurodevelopmental outcomes
