Double Surface Phototherapy And Nicu Air Conditioning

Featured Replies

Our NICU has double surface phototherapy units. Whenever we have a baby On double surface we are worried about the hypothermia for baby ( due to A/C). Hence my question
Do you use double surface unit under radiant warmer servo mode or switch off a/c ?
Our a/c blowers sometimes reduce ths baby's skin temperature . Hence this question

We do cover baby trolly with clingfilm and give phototherapy from both side of warmer. we keep warmer on with close watch for hypo /hyperthermia. This is working with AC on.

One friend's unit is keeping the baby under warmer in manual mode and keep the phototherapy unit on.It gives them the idea whether the baby is hypo/hyperthemic.if the A/C blower is straight on, the trolley is moved a little bit away to avoid cool air direct flow
