ferac
Hello, an affectionate greeting. I would like to know if anyone has experience with the use of Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim in newborns. In our NICU we have a blood culture which grew Stenotrophomonas Maltophilia that is sensitive to this product. Sincerely, Fernando Agama C. ferac
Thanks for responding for all. Unfortunately there is no intravenous cotrimoxazole Ecuador. Any experience with the oral preparation? Atentamente, Fernando Agama C.
JACK
http://jac.oxfordjournals.org/content/62/5/889.full http://jac.oxfordjournals.org/content/62/5/889.full.pdf#page=1&view=FitH http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22381665 http://www.jmedicalcasereports.com/content/3/1/7389 You should find these relevant. I would not use oral antibiotics in a sick neoante. I would hunt for alternative parenteral antibiotics. Best wishes Keep us informed
