Hello:

I have a question for the experts. Recently a pharmacist used ranitidine syrup instead of IV preparation as base for dilution for neonatal po med. The package insert states good for infants up to one month, but we have a practice of not using any med preparations with alcohol in our NICU. what is the standard of care in NICUs?
