Posted June 8, 201410 yr I know strategy of high rate and low tidal volume in conventional ventilation , but to what limit the RR is And Ti and I/T ratio to avoid air trapping.
June 9, 201410 yr Sorry.prev.msg.half typed.if u want this strategy to eliminate co2 .HFO is better option.on convention venti.u can keep rate max.60. To avoid air, trapping.n min I time 0.3 and i/e 1:2 for effective ventilation.
June 9, 201410 yr Author In case of pul interstitial emphysema, there is hypercapnea, if I don't have high frequency......how can I manage.
June 9, 201410 yr In that case, try gentle ventilation with permissive hypercapnea, use min.PIP n PEEP,n. Low ti.avoid further VILI.n if single lung involved try selective single lung venti.or affected lung lobectomy at end.
June 10, 201410 yr Author I ask mainly about that , are there any body use RR> 60 in conventional m v ??, even in persist hypercapnea
June 10, 201410 yr Author This is what I ask for ' to what limit RR and Ti on convention m v I can use
