Do you have any experience using Milrinone in cases of PPHN In my NICU we don't have nitrous oxide and we recently had a case of PPHN I used Dopamine and Dobutamine but after reading this article I am not sure whether that was the optimal therapy. I highly appreciate your input.
April 21, 20204 yr It's a good drug in newborn babies with pphn with RV dysfunction (sy normotension ) Very often I use milrinone. I usually don't give the loading dose. I use milrinone infusion 0.36migr/kg/min in NS. If baby hypotensive, give a bolus of NS before starting milrinone infusion.
