Hi all. I've recently seen some neonatologists treating medical NEC for 10 days with antibiotics and probably NPO just for 5-7 days...

Has any one done this or is there any article supporting this kinda approach?

hi, from lastyear i have 5 case ne1 ,2and one case stage3 all of them 10 days npo and then po with 1cc human milk that iincreasing slowly daily.

This depends on the stage of nec,, in my experience in suspected nec. 5 to 7 days is enough if the baby is clinically stable and can tolerate feeding. And complete the antibiotic caurse
