I would like to know how common it is to have meningococcal meningitis in a newborn. Mother had concomitant UTI and LRTI. Direct smear of csf showed gram negative rods.

Child had intracranial bleed and severe pneumonia neonatal sizures. Now recovering with piperacillin and amikacin. I will post the pictures later
