March 1, 200719 yr comment_380 Dear Netters, We are suffering with babies who had severe MAS and PPHN, mainly treated by HFOV and iNO. After recovery they develop severe bronchospasm, we treat them by salbutamol nebs, inhailer, racemic epinephrine nebs, iv dexamethasone, and sometimes even iv salbutamol. I would like to share with all of you your experience in such cases. March 2, 200719 yr dear member post mas or even after ventilation , the neonates have higher incidence of reactive airway problem, they ususally decrase gradually by 6 months to one year. the episodes of wheezing are treated with bronchodilators ,salbutamol, and or steroids mostly by nebulisation.
March 4, 200719 yr comment_393 Dear Colleague, I am not talking about long term reactive airway disease. My concern is the immediate recovery period after improving of the PPHN and before extubation. Thanks Send Sticky Note
