selvanr4
we had a newborn who was bringing out froathy saliva.Ruled out TEF. Had difficulty in initiation of breastfeeding. took 36 hrs to settle down. My question is when should we investigate these cases?
JACK
A detailed history (antenatal, delivery, resuscitation) Examination findings Neuroimaging The point that the baby took time to establish breastfeeding is to be noted. Was it because of mother-baby interaction problem or was it due to poor suck or poor suck-swallow coordination?
selvanr4
antenatal unevenful.delivery LSCS. resuscitation none.Normal baby hence no neuro imaging. Initially mother had problem in starting feeding. later resolved persistent efforts. Probably poor suck swallow combination Thanks for the opinion
