Dear Colleagues

Are you a neonatal consultant, senior neonatal trainee, nurse practitioner, or paediatric trainee with a neonatal interest in POCUS who would like to challenge yourself by gaining higher skills in Neonatal Lung Ultrasound?

This course, limited to 24 places, covers the management of diverse neonatal respiratory emergencies and pathologies using a simulated approach. You will be trained in Lung US to diagnose and manage these conditions.

We will be learning with Sam a state-of-the-art US simulator so that participants can learn not just the theory but also have hands-on practice

https://youtu.be/lntSEurUOGA

The course is run over two days, covering the basics and implementation of LUS protocols for performing LUS in neonates on Day 1

Participants will be able to practice performing LUS protocols and understand pattern recognition to recognise pathologies like RDS, TTNB, MAS, Pneumonia, Collapse, Consolidation and Pleural effusion

Day 2 formalises theoretical learning through hands-on practice and the provision of simulated cases through manikin-based learning and videos.

We aim to provide an immersive environment for experiential learning so that participants can put the knowledge into practice.
