spartacus007 Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Neonatal Cranial Ultrasound Course Online I am writing as we start our next Online Neonatal Cranial Ultrasound Course in March 2025. The beauty of the course is that you can take it at your own pace and in your own time. This course is run online through a series of didactic sessions covering the theory. These are complemented by interactive online workshops, expert speaker sessions, and sessions on communication prognosis and parental perspectives. Each participant has access to their online account, which includes an interactive platform for sharing their US (anonymized) for discussion, peer review, image critique, and image optimization. The course runs over 8-12 weeks but can be done at any time scale over 6 months. Candidates seeking certification need to complete a logbook of competencies and online testing with peer review. Course Period March 15th, 2025-May 15th 2025 Course Duration The course will be run over eight weeks, starting on March 15th and ending at the end of May. We will be mentoring a cohort of candidates through the course, which will combine online teaching, workshops, and interactive discussions. The course covers CRUSS in 4 modules over three months. 1. Introduction, Basics and The Normal Brain 2. Brain Pathology 3. Guidelines and Implementation 4. Clinical Correlation Diagnosis and Clinical Approach You have access to your online portal explained in the video below Structure Sessions are organized weekly to cover the fixed curriculum shared below. Our faculty is quite diverse, including colleagues from the UK, France, the Middle East, Canada, and India. The material can be accessed online on the site, watched live via video, or in your own time. Commitment The commitment is 60-90 minutes a week for the course period, on a scheduled day of the week that will be sent by the first week of March. If you cannot attend the live sessions, the topic will be shared with you online for your review. Each session includes time for you to share your cases for online critique, which is held after the teaching is complete. If you would like, we will supply you with a logbook to keep your images. Fee The course fee is 500 pounds in the UK, 500 Euros for any EU participants, and 1500 AED in the UAE. There are limited discounted places from LMIC candidates. Please get in touch, and we will get back to you. Payment is via bank transfer. MCQ and Accreditation For those of you who would like certification and accreditation via the course, it is mandatory that you have access to a US machine and can share cases and images in an anonymized way. We will teach you how to do that. At the end of the course, you must give an online exam with a passing mark, which will review the three core parts of the curriculum as outlined above. The testing can be done anytime within the first six months after the module starts.
