July 8, 200818 yr Cephalosporins have been incriminated in several case reports of drug induced hemolysis resulting sometimes in death. An immune-complex mechanism mediated hemolysis has often been the explanation forwarded. A positive direct antiglobulin test is frequently found. Can you give us some more details of this case. Also can you please specify the cephalosporin.
