Guest aansorge Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Hi all, we search for a six month old infant with Undine syndrom a nasal mask for n/CPAP ventilation. Who knew a company which assemble nasal mask for such young patients?
Stefan Johansson Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 We sometimes use nasal masks with the InfantFlow system. These may be to small for a 6 month baby though. http://www.viasyshealthcare.com/prod_serv/prodDetail.aspx?config=ps_prodDtl&prodID=59
Guest aansorge Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 That's exactly the problem, these masks are fabricated for ventilation of newborn or pretrem babies during their residence in a hospital, but we need a mask for a continious ventilation also at home.
Stefan Johansson Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 We have a "national respiration-center" that produce individual solutions for patients with ventilatory support (being at home). Despite everything is in Swedish below, you might find some contact details you could use for a consultation. They may have better advice. jwiggins Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 We use the pixi nasal mask or the sullivan bubble nasal mask for that age group.
