  1. UVC/UAC/PICC placements - on warmers or in incubators

    Insertion is done on the radiant warmers then placed in isolette. We use the Giraffe beds which make it nice since they convert from a warmer to an isolette with out having to move the patient.

    Do you add Heparin to your PICC fluids? We normally 1 unit of heparin/ml. Occassionally we have had to add 2 units of heparin/ml or increase the rate to 2 ml / hr if patient is not fluid restricted. Good Luck
