The latest Leading article is about the importance about communication with parents and we figured this was a good moment to launch a 99nicu Poll about feedback from parents.

We have heard from colleagues around the world that some collect parental feedback regularly, for example from a questionnaire, while others don't ask parents for feedback at all.

Please respond whether you collect feedback in your NICU, and if yes, explain how you do it in a comment below!

We have two methods. The first is a survey mailed by NICPicker that contains some carefully worded questions designed to evaluate the overall percieved effectiveness of our care. The second is a phone call made by our discharge planner which identifies specific events that were either praiseworthy or troubling to our parents and to make certain that our discharge teaching was understood.
