Haven't seen sclera neonatorum for ages now. Aggressive antibiotic therapy and exchange transfusion may help but generally babies don't survive with sclera.

We see quite a few .The response to exchage transfusion is good ii will add my poster presentation done at ebneo in 2015

    Outcome depends on cause. Just had a a preterm baby with sclerema due to hypothermia. He has recovered with appropriate treatment
