Posted April 1Apr 1 Hi all! This is for neonatology attending physicians in the US. In the United States, there is significant variability in physician staffing models for neonatal intensive care ranging for academic centers, private practice and in between. With that, there is significant variability in compensation, benefits, or criteria for career progression between different units as well as different regions of the US. While there are some surveys regarding compensation for NICU physicians, they lack details and do not provide any other statistics. This lack of information is not only a barrier for individual neonatologists to advocate for their just rights, but also for administrators for hiring and staffing decisions. Therefore, we are conducting a survey from practicing neonatologists in the US regarding their individual work requirements, benefits, compensation, as well as career progression. The survey is open to any neonatologist in clinical practice in the US. The survey is anonymous and no individualized information is collected and shared. We hope to collect data from all states in the US, different levels of NICU, and academic and private practices. Once collected, we will collate the data and aggregate results will be shared at different sites including the present one. Additionally, the results will be emailed to individual respondents who choose to provide their email information in their survey response. The link for the survey is as below. https://redcap.link/neo_phy_cli_work Edited April 2Apr 2 by drdeepsj To add more details.
