What is definotion of distention in premature ? Mature ? Abdominal wall higher than chest ?

do we need a definition?

if babies are clinically well, tolerate feeds, no bilious vomiting, opening their bowels? they may have gas from cpap or excessive crying etc

Tricky question, I agree with you @gmavrogeorgos , abdominals symtoms can be many so one needs to think about the whole picture where distension (however defined) is only one part of the puzzle. We used the measure abdominal circumference back in the days, super tricky and rarely gave any relevant numbers IMHO
