Major upgrade of 99nicu... social networking features!

Featured Replies

We have worked a lot behind the scenes the last few weeks. Now, 99nicu is upgraded to the latest version of the forum software we use.

In addition to a lot of technical things that's working better, you will notice that there are a new features... Social Networking! If you think that 99nicu becomes "Facebookish", you're not completely wrong :)

But, our ambition is not only to create a social meeting place for chit-chat. We want to offer a platform for professionals to meet and discuss neonatal medicine. To make 99nicu a busy community, social networking is one of several important features.

There are a few things I want to highlight:

* Your profile page becomes interactive and you can also customize it. Please visit my page to see an example.

* You can create social groups. Click on QuickLinks in the navigation bar, or go here. Just to test this feature I created two social groups... if you are/feel Swedish, you can join the group "Sweden", and if you plan to visit HotTopics, you can join the group "HotTopics2009".

* In addition to the option to have a contact list (for those you send PMs etc), you can also make friends.

* You can create your own photo albums. Please note that the personal photo albums are supposed to be more personal, while the Image Library is still there for educational pictures and illustrations.

The FAQ section contains a lot of information about all features at 99nicu, take a look there if you need help, or post feedback and questions in the Feedback & Support forum.

Best wishes from Stockholm :)
