This course is run by the GEPP , the French association for pediatric lung ultrasound https://www.groupegepp.fr/ Our goal is to promote the use of pediatric and neonatal lung ultrasound in France and internationally through training, research and certification. For information and registrations https://www.groupegepp.fr/adhésions-inscriptions groupegepp@gmail.com When? 🗓 December 18th: lung ultrasound We will cover the basics of neonatal lung ultrasound and gradually build up to discussing more advanced uses of neonatal lung ultrasound today. If you want to learn more about how to diagnose pneumothorax, effusion, edema and neonatal conditions such as TTN/RDS/meconium aspiration, this is the course for you. We will also discuss the use of lung ultrasound scores and their use in RDS and surfactant administration. This course requires no prior knowledge, but is also adapted to intermediate and more advanced lung ultrasound users who wish to discuss specific points. We do, however, strongly advise that you have an ultrasound machine in your unit that you can use as quickly as possible after the course. 🗓 December 19th: cardiac/hemodynamic POCUS We will start with the basics of cardiac POCUS and train on the basic views. We will then discuss common neonatal situations (pulmonary hypertension and PDA). The course is designed for the neonatologist and covers basic applications of neonatal cardiac POCUS. It is not designed for teaching full echocardiography and/or a full NPE/TNE examination. It is especially adapted to novices and learners with some experience. We do, however, strongly advise that you have an ultrasound machine in your unit that you can use as quickly as possible after the course. Reduced rates apply if you register for both days.
