So wen compensated shock we like to maintain vaso construction and wen thing worse due to vasoconstrition due to un compansation den milrinon act adjuvant ..... Both have also similar action of also..... increase heart contractility ...wen dopa receptor tired milrinone receptor still work for help...

We use it in our nicu which had got good results ...if shock is not manage by dopamine..we use milrinon along with dopamine

If hypotension due to shock den we of course we can use...

All d form of shock finally causing heart pump failure.. due to one mechanism is vaso constriction and increase after load...milrinon has action of increase heart contractility and decrease after load by vasodilation...

Ya We can use mirinone safely in newborn...loading dose 75 ug/kg in 1 hour f/b 5-7ug/kg/min
