  1. Hi Marta, could you help us with a survey on your topic? Please help us with this European survey on vascular access management. To take the survey, click here: https://it.surveymonkey.com/r/K9WDJXX Moreover, could you spread the survey among your country's neonatal intensive care units? We need a little help. Thank you 🙏 The timing for leaving the UAC and UVC is similar in my unit; however, we do not use heparin for the UAC. We will know the typical timing used in the NICU only after analyzing data from the European survey. Please help us with this European survey on vascular access management. 2. Please, European people, answer this survey on vascular access management:
  3. Dear Colleagues, A collaborative team of Spanish and Italian researchers specialized in neonatal pharmacology, infectious diseases, and vascular access has developed a survey focused on managing vascular access devices across Europe. Some team members are affiliated with the European Society of Pediatric Research (ESPR) and the European Society of Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC). The survey aims to better understand how neonatologists manage vascular access devices in European Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) during clinical practice. Additionally, we strive to explore the potential adherence to local or international guidelines. We recommend that the NICU team leader or a senior neonatologist from the unit participate in this survey. The name of the Neonatal Unit is requested solely to mitigate the risk of response duplication and will be eliminated before data processing. No individual or institution will receive information regarding the specific responses provided. The implementation of the survey will require approximately 20 minutes. Main researcher contacts: Giacomo Cavallaro: giacomo.cavallaro@policlinico.mi.it; and Felipe Garrido: fgarridom@unav.es. Should you have any inquiries or remarks, please do not hesitate to contact us via email: Andrea Ronchi: andrea.ronchi@policlinico.mi.it; Roberto Raschetti: roberto.raschetti@policlinico.mi.it; Carmen Rodriguez: carmen.rodriguez@asst-spedalicivili.it; Francesco Risso: francesco.risso@asst-spedalicivili.it; Nunzia Decembrino: n.decembrino@policlinico.unict.it; Carlo Pietrasanta: carlo.pietrasanta@unimi.it; Genny Raffaeli: genny.raffaeli@policlinico.mi.it; Antonio Perez Iranzo: antonio.perez.iranzo@gmail.com; Silvia Garrido: sgarridoe@unav.es; Daniela Svedin Figo: dsvedinfigo@alumni.unav.es; Mónica Riaza Gómez: mriazagomez@unav.es; Roberto Ortiz Movilla: rortizmovilla@gmail.com. We thank you for your interest in participating in our study. The Research Ethics Committee of the University of Navarra has approved this study. Before deciding on participation in this survey, please ensure you understand the purpose of the research, what your involvement will entail, and how your information will be used. What is the purpose of the study? The study aims to gather information about managing vascular access for newborns in neonatal units at the European level. How will the study be conducted? We will use a questionnaire developed and validated by the researchers using the Delphi methodology. Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. Once you complete the questionnaire, please note that your responses will be anonymous and cannot be deleted. Who can participate? The study is open to all healthcare professionals caring for newborns in European neonatal units. You can participate by accessing the questionnaire through the various dissemination channels. Your role in this study is limited to answering the questionnaire. We do not collect any identifiable information, such as your IP address. Financial Compensation: There is no financial compensation for participation in this study. Funding: This study does not have any external funding. The project has been approved by the ethics committee of the University of Navarra: Proyecto 2025.088, Aprobado CEI Unav: Acta 10.04.2025. 4. Dear Stefan, It will be a pleasure to share the results with all of you. Best regards Giacomo
  5. Dear colleague, We are a group of neonatologists interested in neonatal pharmacology. We have launched worldwide this survey to study neonatal analgesia & sedation management. We would really appreciate your expertise and input! We´d suggest you to reflect the current management of analgesia and sedation in your NICU. The name of the Hospital, that we offer to add at the end of the survey, is requested only to avoid duplicated responses and will be deleted before processing the data. No single person or institution will receive information regarding individual answers to the survey. The survey will take 10 minutes or less to complete. In case you have any questions or want to comment on something, you can do so via email carribass@unav.es . We really appreciate your participation in advance! https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/W92CYM7 cover letter neonatologist analgesia survey.pdf
