We are now announcing our first Video Lecture and our first Neonatal Grand Round. Our conferences will be based on Marratech, thanks to Karolinska Institutet which let us use their Marratech conference facilities.

To visit any of our video conferences, you will need to install the Marratech client on your computer.

Here is our quick guide to Marratech, how you download, install and set up the Marratech client.

  • Video Lecture "Outcome of preterm birth", by our Team leader Stefan Johansson, on the 18th of April at 20.00 GMT.

  • Neonatal Grand Round, on the 9th of May at 20.00 GMT.

We just closed the first ever Virtual Neonatal Grand Round, with visitors from Sweden, Estonia, Peru and Israel!

We discussed a case with cataract, unusual facial features and limb deformities, with live sound and pictures.

If YOU would like to discuss an interesting or problematic case - just send an email to info@99nicu.org and we will arrange a new Grand Round!

I am one of viewers in this May 9th meeting. I still remain confused about Grand Round Rules and technical configuration of Marratech software. Also, I Would like to understand some additional conclusions about your case: Which one is the diagnostic solution or final explanation?. If you want to help me for solving my doubts, please send me final results to my private e-mail. Regards,

Dear Carlos, we hope your doubts will not refrain you from future visits to our virtual meetings.

Our Marratech manual is rather basic, but should cover the basic aspects of using Marratech. Please explain what technical problemsyou had. Your input for revising the manual.

Regarding the presented case - since this is a forum which could be read also by temporary unregistr visitors we cannot reveal details here - but this infant has no diagnosis, that was why we presented the case. Our only clues are yhe combination of facial features, cataract, limb deformities and x-ray changes and the possibility of an autosomal dominant disorder. Extensive testing and investigations have all been normal. Our hope was that someone would recognize the syndrome when seeing the slides.
