Gastrointestinal Issues

  1. Dear Netters, as Associate Editor of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition I invite those of you who have a scientific interest in the field to serve as reviewers. Many hot issues of Neonatal Gastroenterology deserve to be known by a wider community and it is only by submitting manuscripts that are carefully reviewed by true peers that we can achieve this goal. Thanks for your attention Francesco Raimondi , MD PhD please reply at raimondi@unina.it

  4. Hi all! I've been reading an artical published on "Laparotomy versus Peritoneal Drainage for Necrotizing Enterocolitis and Perforation" by Moss RL, Dimmitt RA, Barnhart DC et al. And I wonder if anywhere else have been used Peritoneal Drainage? When is it decided which way is more suitable to use on a specific patient? Is there a way of combining the two procedures to decrease morbidity or mortality by NEC? The article was published on www.curosurf.com, but I think you have to be a member (it is free) to read it. Thank you, Jonatan Lundgren, Assisting nurse. NICU Karolinska Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden
