Stefan Johansson Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Here is another video, showing how to insert a pig-tail chest tube: http://www.neoknowledge.org/chest-tube-pigtail/
Hasan hosney Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I can't see NEJM video as it needs subscription. If any one has a free video I will be grateful. And other issue if u please , how can you know in neonates that your entry is not subcutaneous abd you are inside pleural space?
Stefan Johansson Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 @alyelayyatHave a look at this video: http://www.neoknowledge.org/chest-tube-pigtail/Regarding knowing when you enter the pleural space - you'll feel it As you insert the tube rather high on the chest you will be certain that the tube is in the pleural cavity when you insert it, the "reciept" will be that you can aspirate air. 1
