are caffeine citrate oral and iv solutions ( Both clear and colorlesss) any different

 

Our product (Peyona) is for both oral and iv use.

in the past, our generic product manufact by the pharmacy was also for both routes of admin.

suggest you crosscheck with your pharmacy before using it iv, just to be sure it is not only made for oral admin

the product is from a company called phebra 

it mentions  that both oral and iv solutions are clear, colourless and contain excipients as citric acid mono hydrate and sodium citrate in water for injections . Both the solutions have no preservatives and same ph between 4.2-5.2

 

the only difference is the strength : iv as 20mg/ml and oral as 25mg

 

the company says can’t say anything about the iv oral mix up if it happens and they are marketed as separate solutions
