  1. If you can afford baby logs I would suggest that. We use servoi in our place but I've worked with both and I prefer babylogs
  2. We use infasurf(calvactant). Dose is 3ml/kg/dose
  3. No. We don't have any particular guidelines in our unit, at this point is the personal preference of the physician.
  4. Could you give more details. Maternal details if any, Ascitic fluid composition and a little history please?
  5. Yes we do.
  6. That's great info. Just to add the neonatal team at Columbia presbyeterian NY are the pioneers in bubble cpap and they have shown that their rates of CLD are lower than the national rates due to bubble cpap. The fact the bubble cpap produces a wavy pattern in flow and possibly pressures in the tube as the bubbles get released is thought to be less barotrauma tic to the lungs.....
  7. We use vapotherm in our unit. There are no fixed guidelines as this is something new but the general consensus is to start at 8 lit/min flow and work your way down. I should say that we were initially apprehensive about this device and the higher flow but babies have proven us wrong. They are very comfortable on vapotherm than regular HFNC
