November 24, 20223 yr Lets start its a thread about NICUVERSE hashtags! All "toots" (posts) are displayed in chronological order, and there is no algorithm that up-/down-grades content based on your behaviour/interactions on the platform, or based on all the Big Data sourced and sold by Facebook, Google etc-etc. Which means that hashtags are more important for people to find relevant content. It is also possible to follow hashtags, like you can follow an individual. Just search for a hashtag, for example #NeoEBM, and than click on "👩⚕️+" to follow. Now you will get all #NeoEBM posts in your feed. Question - can we come up with and promote a set of standard hashtags? I suggest two: #NeoEBM - for toots sharing publications etc #nicuverse - for toots about the space itself
November 24, 20223 yr #NeoEBM is well established and should stay. I would also enjoy: #NeoCase: For case discussions. #NeoPoll: For polls #NeoNews: For news in neonatology #NeoPod: For podcast related topics #NeoTech: for medtech
November 24, 20223 yr #NeoMeeting for conferences? What about something not strictly work-related, but more community-related? Eg. #NeoLife so we can encourage also lighter discussions?
November 25, 20223 yr Author Thanks, great ideas, let’s start with this set! I make an announcement about this on the Nicuverse and then we see how it all develops!
November 25, 20223 yr Author I added the following on the FAQ page #HASHTAGS No algorithms is putting the feed together on nicuverse.org, therefore #hashtags is of great help for everyone to keep updated. Feel free to use whatever hashtag you find great for your toots! In addition, we propose the following main hashtags: #NeoEBM - for publications and EBM-content #Nicuverse - about this space itself #NeoCase - to mark case discussions #NeoTech - about NICU medtech #NeoPoll - for polls #NeoNews - for news in neonatology #NeoPod - NICU podcast related topics #NeoMeeting - for conference discussions #NeoLife - about everything else from small to large, on- and off-topic
