does anyone have experience on bumetanide in anuric neonatal AKI, non responding to furosemide ? is there any gain/side effect compared to furosemide ? thank you in advance for your comments

When to Worry? APD ≥4 mm in 2nd trimester and ≥7 mm in 3rd trimester. ANH with oligohydramnios ANH with extra-renal anomalies and soft markers ANH with any calyceal dilatation, renal parenchymal changes, bladder wall abnormalities. When to do a post-natal scan? I have seen in few hospitals in all cases of severe oligohydramnios babies are subjected to kidney function test and or renal ultrasound in order to not miss conditions like bilateral renal agenesis, renal dysplasia etc. Do you think this practice is justified ?

Hello all. We have a full term baby who presented with mass per abdomen at birth. On usg it showed distended gall bladder and nothing else. Baby also has recurrent hypoglycaemia. Does anyone know about distended gall bladder in neonates I saw few articles which tell that distended gall bladder is associated with birth asphyxia, but this baby did not have one No acholic stools and no jaundice

Hello, I need your help in a case of Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome. The baby, female, is 2 months. We are waiting for genetic diagnosis, but we suspect a finnish form. We are administrating a very high dose of albumin (2-3 g/kg/die divided in three doses) by a Broviac CVC. We are administrating also Tiroxine, Furosemide, a low dose of captopril (0,015 mg/kg three times per day) and indomethacin (0,4 mg/kg twice per day). We didn't obtain an improvement about proteinuria with these two drugs. We are feeding her with fortified human milk We would offer a better quality of life to the baby and her parents, so I was thinking to try to infuse a load dose of albumin nightly …
