Hello Guys, I consider giving brief anaesthesia for administration of Lucentis in babies already imi-intensive ward . Do you rely only on local anaesthetic given by ophtalmologist ? Would oral 20 % glucose be sufficient, or perhaps some midazolam apart form local ? Thank you

In our Warsaw NICU we would use dexmedetomidine in a dose of 0,7 to 1,0 mcg/kg/hour in cases of difficulty in synchronising the baby with ventilator, in extere cases we use opioids (morphine or sufentanil). Tkanks and good luck

Yes we measure APTT, Platelets, Fibrinogen. Minimal value for platelets would be 100 000 per ml. Greetings !
