Great topic! I think its great to organize your electronic information (pdfs, books,...) in a local RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system. With this you can freely search this specific knowledge base without having to leave your machine. Meaning the search result are coming directly from your hand-picked sources. Not very difficult to set up, but you need hardware that can handle the local ai. This is also possible with cloud models, but do you really want to give away your data?

Hi to all! We are using the GE Venue™ - with a touchscreen (we had to get rid of the keyboard because of bacterial colonisation). It is very practical machine, fast on startup, compact with a wide variety of probes. It can be used for basically every organ. Downside - the quality of the pictures is probably inferior to highend (specialized) machines. Still an interesting machine. best regards, David from Vienna

Hi! We used the Sensormedics with low-volume-strategy alot in case of pie. Then we we lost a lot of our "old" colleagues and a lot of Knowledge concerning the hfov got lost. I think the sensormedics is a very powerful machine which also can do a lot of harm in inexperienced hands. Therefore we switched to conventionale mechanical ventilation combined with taping of the chest - we use low tidal volumes, very short insp. time (0,1 - 0,2 s). We try to establish a stable situation with NAVA as soon as possible (without any evidence, but good experinces).

Hi! We use facemasks in almost all situations. The Austrian authorities try to expand the usage of masks in more and more daily situations and we feel obligated to give a positive example. This policy is in effect in the whole Hospital not only the neonatal unit.

Are we talking about invasive NAVA or non-invasive NAVA? Just to be clear.

Hi! We use octenidine, unfortunately we only have access to a solution contaning alcohol - although an alcohol-free preparation is possible to produce via the pharmacy. We rarely see necrosis and scarring (although reported in the literature).
