  2. Studies show that there are more benefits with weaning nCPAP by decreasing pressure than having alternating "time-on and time-off" nCPAP. We wean by lowering the pressure gradually, in the preterm to as low as 2cm H20. I know that many use 4cm H20 as a lower limit. The argument for this is that the pressure measured in the pharynx is close to zero when CPAP is set lower than 4 cm H20 (thus believed to not have any positive effects).     hi In our service we are reviewing the indications for percutaneous venous catheter placement. Now, we are only using them for parenteral nutrition, but we are looking for information for use in case we need prolonged treatments (more than 4-5 days ,eg 10 days antibiotics).     Hi all: We try to place PICC lines in upper extremities, if difficult then we go to lower extremities .. Sometimes scalp veins look very "tempting" to advance them through .. My Question for you: Do you have any advice in sense of indications, contraindications, complications etc ?? Thanks FA

    I have one question regarding the correct timing for inserting a UVC for realizing an exchange transfusion. Is there any literature regarding after how many days is it correct to insert a UVC, without a risk of NEC or other type of infections due to the colonization of the umbilical stump? Thank you
