Resuscitation

I would like for others to comment on this question. For infants older than lets say 3 days old if they are to arrest in the nicu which sequence for cpr would be most approriate. The nrp 3:1 ratio or pals 15:2 (2 person)? When does nrp guidlines stop and pals begin? For our most complicated babies who may be in nicu for months this can be an issue. It is also an issue for training of staff who work in this area and it can be very confussing for those staff who work wards/picu and nicu? Please comment.

I have a question regarding international codes. If a baby is born with low umbilical artery pH, but the Apgar score is normal, adapts well, pH/ BE/ lac normalizes, amniotic fluid is clear, and there is no multi-organ failure. Would you code it anyway P20.1 (fetal acidosis alone)

Hello all! I just wanted to pop the question if you use moisted and heated air to your T-piece device/ BVM/ other device when ventilating/supporting respiration in the delivery room? We do in GA < 30 weeks with a Fischer Paykel humidifier. If so, what kind of moister/heater? Do you have various modes "normal", "invasive"? Do you use it in just ELBW infants or all? ...or do you use normal, dry air/O2 and wait with the moist and heat until in the NICU? Thanks for your input! //Pontus Johansson
