What is the dose of hepatitis b immunoglobulin you use for preventing mother to child transmission in a mother with Hbsag positive status? We used 100iu, but some manufacturers recommendation gives per kg dose, above 3kg dose exceeds 100 and we give 200iu. What's your guideline, practice and any articles comparing 100iu versus 200iu.

Hi. Somebody use PCT before PCR in neonatal screening of infection in neonates with prenatal risk factors? Actually we use first PCR, and I think it is OK. Some young collegues are very entusiastic with PCT, but I¨m not so sure. Thank you

please share your antibiotic preparation and administration practices in your hospitals and if you have evidence based ones. I have heard talk all IV antibiotics prepared in the pharmacy clean room, including spiking and priming the IV tubing to help decrease contamination and infection rates. Do your nurses connect IV tubing bedside or does pharmacy connect in hood? Thanks!
