Hello forum, I am looking for a product that has been designed solely for the catheterising of our premies, tired of cobbling together urine bags and feeding tubes! Our unit is in the uk so would be particularly interested what is being used by european and north american colleagues. Best wishes Alistair

  5. It is very easy to use bubble cpap with nasal prongs. The only hitch is ,if we are not vigilant enough we might endanger columella and cause it's destruction by pressure necrosis. Can you please tell us what precautions you take to avoid columella injury while using nasal prongs?. thanks dr.r.selvan

Hi everyone, I have a question about taking blood out of a arterial line by children under 26 weeks of age; - how many seconds does everybody take to get blood out of the line by these children and how many seconds do you take to put the heparine back. - Is there some literature about damiging the brain when you flush to fast (to put the heparine back)? - Does everybody flush by hand or do you use a device to flush? Hope that you can help. Greetings from the Netherlands

My favourites are: Evernote (for passwords, memos) Pubmed on tap Tapatalk (for browsing 99nicu ) Medcalc (for calculating a/A-ratios) Eponyms (quick ref for syndromes) Pediatrics (great journal app!)

Hello - I am an RN but not a NICU nurse. Would someone be so kind as to clarify who has the primary responsibilty for monitoring the O2 sats? Would it mainly be the NICU nurse or Respiratory Therapist? Any links would be greatly appreciated! TIA
