GUIDELINES ABOUT CHD IN NEWBORN
There are so many of them as usual but for schematic approach you may try this one: http://www.ucsfbenioffchildrens.org/pdf/manuals/32_CHD.pdf and I also found these teaching aides very useful by Mark Kadrofske and William Herring [but I just realized that due to upload constraints those files can't be attached along with this reply.I will better try to send you the links instead]. Warm Wishes Always Roy.

thrombocytopenia and neutropenia alloimmune
Dear Michelangelo, Perhaps you have done both the work up for Neutrophil Antibody Screen and HLA (PRA) Antibody Screen.Though very rare but in congenital Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome it's possible to have associated neutropenia along with thrombocytopenia. You can check this repository: http://eprints.ucl.ac.uk/8520/ [full text is not available]. How is the child anyway? Love. Roy.

Breast Feeding.
Dear Stefan, I really feel from the core of my heart that we need a separate forum [inside the General Neonatal Care Section] called "Breast Feeding". Eager to hear your valuable opinion. The following link I would have liked to post there instead of "nutrition" I guess. http://global-breastfeeding.org/ May be it could be a fountainhead! Love. Roy.

Hypocalcemia and phototherapy in preterm baby
Dear Thabit, The physiological explation of the hypocalcaemia [Late Onset Hypocalcaemia (LOH)] in preterm neonates receiving phototherapy may be associated with the decreased melatonin secretion [i.e.phx induced] and increasing bone uptake of calcium [John P Cloherty,Eric C Eichenwald,Ann R Stark,Manual of Neonatal Care.Lippencott Williams & Wilkins.Fifth Edition 2004.Chapter 29.Pp 582]. Predisposing physiological factors are succintly described in Fanaroff and Martin's Neonatal Perinatal Medicine,Diseases of Fetus and Infant,Mosby Elsevier,Volume II,8 th Edition 2006,Chapter 47, Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders,Pp 1510 (but in Pp1512 writes "although the mechanism is still uncertain")]. Love. Roy.
